Presented by Debra Atkinson

This webinar will introduce and define the role of over 12 hormones that actively influence or are influenced by exercise. Attendees will identify the complex circumstances that hormones, orthopedic issues, and conditions present and identify how to overcome them with an integrated program.

Women in midlife require something other than the text book exercise prescription and they’re not finding answers, though they are actively searching for fitness professionals and health coaches that understand the changes they are going through. There will be some discussion of lab tests for the fitness professional’s knowledge of how to interpret or interactive with a physician and or what tests to recommend and refer a client. A brief part of the webinar will include how to leverage this knowledge to attract and serve more clients as a hormone balancing expert.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the hormones that influence or are influenced by exercise.
  • Match signs and symptoms of hormone imbalance with the hormones and the exercise modifications that support balance.
  • Create or modify exercise programs that will support midlife and older women (some application to men)
  • Introduce a method to prioritize first steps for working with women in peri-menopause, menopause, and post menopause.
