The original Associationdid indeed gradually dwindle over the years, but was reborn in 1977 on the occasion of the unveiling of the Barlow Butlin memorial door. His family moved to London when he was ten years old, and he began applying himself to his studies at Harrow Weald Grammar School and Poole Technical College.
